Preoperative Medical Clearance
You are required to undergo a series of medical tests prior to the surgery to ensure your safety. Tests can be done either here with us or with your own doctor in your country.

Please come to our clinic by 11 am on the day of your surgery.
For those of you who plan to go with #2 above, we recommend you schedule your flight to arrive at the Kansai International Airport (KIX) on the day before the surgery.
Even though your admission to our clinic is on the day of surgery, having it on the same day of arrival as your long flight will be physically taxing. Therefore, please schedule to arrive at the airport on the previous day, stay overnight at a hotel, and then come visit us the next morning.

Preparation
We are fully committed to provide you with dedicated, quality care in order for your clinic stay with us to be as safe and comfortable as possible. You could see the manners in our clinic below.
Admission
- Please inform us of your food allergy or halal.
- You could go out on the previous surgical day after preoperative examination. However, It is impossible to go out on the surgical day.
In your room
- Smoking is prohibited on the premises of the clinic. We have concentrated oxygen for medical use and therefore need to strictly enforce this ban.
- Please keep the door unlocked in case of emergency. The Nurse will make routine runs during the night to make sure of your security and condition.
- Please do not bring in too many electric devices/appliances.
- Mobile phone use is allowed in your room. Please let us know if you have a visitor with a cardiac pacemaker, etc.
- Please refrain from speaking loudly even inside your room.
- It is possible to accept one person to accompany with you.
- Turning off the light of your room at night is left up to you. Feel free to call the nurse on duty.
- Please put your valuables in the security box in the room.
- An air humidifying device and foot warmer are available. Please let us know if you want.
- There is a limit in space/bedding preparation to have too many persons in a patient room.
- Please consult with us in advance if you wish to have more than one person to stay at your beside.
- A meal, a bottle (PET bottle) of Japanese tea and tissue paper can be prepared for a person to stay with you with a cost of 1,500 JPY, 200 JPY and 100 JPY respectively (tax not included).
- You will be checked at around 7 AM in the morning.

- We have a questionnaire sheet in your room. It would be appreciated if you answered these questions. Please give us any suggestions you think appropriate for patients in the future.
During Operation
Admission (check in at the reception desk on the 3rd floor)
You will receive:
- An Introduction and escort to your room
- Please put on your nightwear
- Body temperature and blood pressure tests
- Preoperative examination including blood examination, ECG and chest X-p
Day of Operation
1. Before surgery
Please refrain from taking food 3 hours before surgery. We serve drip infusion just before surgery.
We will escort you from your room to the operation room.
- Attention
- Please be sure to use the toilet prior to the operation for urination/defecation. For the operation, take off/wash off everything, e.g., facial makeup, manicures, accessories, dentures, glasses, contact lens, etc. Please manage your valuables and personal items on your own. A safe box is available in your room.
2. Surgery
t usually takes between 60 to 90 minutes. Local anesthetic injection previous to surgery may be a little painful, but it is enough toralable. We adjust your intraoperative voice hearing your feelings. So you could choose your best voice intraoperatively.
3. After surgery
Postoperative pains are usually under control by long-acting anesthetic. If you still feel pain, we could add pain-killers. Most of patients could have dinners after surgery.
Postoperative attention
- Complete voice rest is required up to 7 days after surgery.
- You could take shower, any food and appropriate amount of alcohol just after surgery.
- You could speak after 7days after surgery, but refrain from talking loudly.
